Luca Beltramino is currently SVP Global Programs at the Uptime Institute. He is leading Uptime’s Global Strategy on Edge Data Centers, Uptime TIER-Ready, this includes: Communication, Commercial Alliances and Sales Operations with Global Responsibility.

Luca is currently Chief Datacenter Officer at Rai Way. Rai Way employs 600+ people. Luca is responsible for a Data Center investment including 18 Edge Data Centers covering the national territory, CDN and VAS Services. This will provide large regional DC capacity plus the ability to process data nearer to the end customers.

In his previous position, Managing Director at SUPERNAP Italia, Beltramino and his team from 2016-2018 successfully launched the first-ever Switch-SUPERNAP Data Center built outside the USA. Today, SUPERNAP runs one of the largest and most efficient Data Centers in Southern Europe, 60 Mw – 60000 sqm.

From 2002 to 2015, as Managing Director of TelecityGroup Italy, Beltramino was part of the Senior Management Team that started TelecityGroup, growing it into the largest European DC business and sold the company to Equinix for $3.8 billion. From 2015 to 2016 he served as Managing Director of Equinix Italia. Globally, Equinix is the largest operator of data centers, running 250+ DC facilities across 5 continents.

In 2015 Beltramino co-founded the OPEN HUB MED. OHM is the first and only Neutral Internet Hub of the Mediterranean Basin. In 1999, as Managing Director, Beltramino was part of the Senior Management Team that started Interxion, the first-ever neutral colocation company in Europe. Beltramino has held and continues to hold various Non-Executive director roles in the Cloud and Data Center sectors. In December 2018, Beltramino received his Non-Executive Director master diploma from the Financial Times, London and is part of the Financial Times NED Club. He holds an AOS Accredited Data Center Operation Specialist diploma from Uptime Institute. In October 2018 he was appointed Ambassador of the city of Genova in the world and member of the board of ambassadors, mission: high tech.
