Today we have both expectations of great growth opportunities and the awareness that we are facing complex threats that require cutting-edge solutions. Indeed, new infrastructural and service discontinuities are materializing and new players are definitely emerging. Those players are the real game changers, the main characters of the digital revolution.
In Italy, these game changers have different faces and roles. Our country is certainly at the forefront on several aspects. The recent national plans for infrastructure intervention and the latest live online streaming of Serie A are examples that have a certain uniqueness in the international scene. Moreover, we observe the proceeding of network separation, at a corporate level, as well as the emergence of a new entrant in the mobile market.
The 2022 edition of the Namex Annual Meeting will be centered on these topics and it will be divided into three sessions. In the first part, we will discuss the development of new cloud and edge computing models that are designed to bring content closer to end customers. In particular, we will discuss the progressive process of decentralization of Internet eXchange Points. The second session will present the state of the art of threats to network security and the progress of the national cybersecurity strategy. Finally, the last part of our plenary will present the experiences of some of the leading game changers in the Italian digital market.
The morning will close with a talk on the priorities of the national regulatory agenda.
